Jerusalem has reportedly increased its airstrikes against Iranian forces in Syria and Iraq. So far, the numbers of these attacks are over 220 times, Ashraq al-Awsat reported on Tuesday.

According to western diplomatic sources quoted by the news agency, Israel has expanded the range of its attacks on Iranian targets in Iraq and Syria.

Earlier this month, Israel Air Force had destroyed Iranian missiles and rockets depot, northeast Bagdad.

According to Ashraq al-Awsat’s confidential sources, the Ashraf base in Iraq, which was formerly inhabited by Iranian opposition group of People’s Mujahidin of Iran, was targeted by Israeli rockets.

Ashraf base is 80 kilometers away from Iran’s western border and 40 kilometers northeast of Baghdad. The camp is using now by Iranian forces as one of their bases in Iraq.

The airstrikes targeted “Iranian military advisors” and “a ballistic missile cargo that was recently transferred from Iran into Iraq,” said one of the sources.

Last week, Israeli jets targeted Tal al-Hara south of Syria as a part of their anti-Iran mission.

Another Israeli attack in Daraa in southern Syria thwarted Iran’s attempt to take control of a strategic hill.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said at that time, “Israeli missiles targeted military positions and intelligence facilities belong to Iran and pro-Iranian militias in Daraa.”
