'Amnesty International is extremely saddened by the news that Homa Soltani'
Amnesty International sent condolence to Abdolfattah Soltani, famous Iranian lawyer and prisoner, and his family for the loss of his daughter, Homa Soltani, who died from heart attack on Friday.
“Amnesty International is extremely saddened by the news that Homa Soltani, daughter of prominent human rights lawyer and prisoner of conscience Abdolfattah Soltani, has passed away,” read the statement.
Soltani is one of the most well-known Iranian lawyer and human right activist who have been sentenced to 10 years in prison due to his activities.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and the Iranian human rights community,” added the statement.
