For years, state repression has cast a heavy shadow over life in Iranian Kurdistan.
The widespread presence of security forces, severe restrictions on freedom of expression and assembly, the arrest of civil and cultural activists, and pressure on local media and organizations are among the most prominent manifestations of this repression.
In many cities across Kurdistan, peaceful protests are met with violence, and families constantly face threats, surveillance, and pressure from the authorities.
Additionally, structural discrimination in economic, cultural, and linguistic fields has created further challenges for the people of Kurdistan, making a sense of deprivation and injustice a persistent part of their daily reality.
