Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh revealed that Iranian state is angry over Israel’s meeting with four Arab countries.
The foreign ministers of the four Arab states of Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco attended a meeting on Sunday, which was also attended by the Israeli regime's Foreign Minister and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
Khatibzadeh called the meeting “a betrayal to the Palestinian liberation cause.”
"Any attempt to normalize and establish relations with the terrorist Zionists and the occupiers of Quds is like stabbing the oppressed nation of Palestine in the back and a gift to the child-killing Israeli regime in continuing to continue killing people and occupy the land," Khatibzadeh was quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency on Monday.
He also stressed his country’s readiness to cooperate and expand bilateral relations with the countries of the region to counter Israel.
Iran is highly criticized by the international community for supporting anti-US and anti-Israel militias in the region.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian recently said in a TV interview that Iran always warns against normalization of relations between neighboring countries and Israel.
The Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad movements, both backed by Iran, have also condemned the Israeli regime-hosted meeting.
