According to an exclusive report to Reuters by a confidential diplomat on Thursday, Iran has so far not reached the maximum level of enriched uranium allowed by 2015 nuclear deal, but it will meet the goal at the weekend.

The diplomat who talked to the agency on condition of anonymity have access to the latest data from UN nuclear inspectors.

“They haven’t reached the limit…It’s more likely to be at the weekend if they do it,” the diplomat was quoted as saying.

Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, said on Tuesday that his country will take new steps to further reduce its commitments under 2015 nuclear deal.

Tehran has also announced that it will speed up the production of enriched uranium from today.
