Hussein Ahmadi Niaz, the lawyer of Ramin Hussein Panahi, was detained by security forces when arrived in court on Sunday, Panahi’s brother informed the news to Avatoday.
“Security organizations have previously made a legal complaint against Mr. Ahmadi Niaz, accusing him of talking to the foreign media on my brother’s execution case,” explained Amjad Hussein Panahi, brother of Ramin Hussein Panahi.
“He (Ahmadi Niaz) was detained in court by Iranian security forces today morning,” he added.
According to the source, Ahmad Niaz’s family are trying to release him on bail, in case they failed, the lawyer is reportedly will transfer to Sanandaj prison.
Panahi has been sentenced to death in January for “taking up arms against the sate” after a speedy trial. He was reportedly forced to convince his link to the Kurdish political party, Komala, under harsh torture.
