According to received information, amid the ongoing massacre of the Iranian people during the January 2026 uprising, Ali Javid, born in 1987, was killed on January 8, 2026, on one of the streets of Mashhad, after being shot directly by forces of the Islamic Republic.

Reports indicate that his daughter, Shiva Javid, born in 2007, disappeared the same night. Her family spent days in uncertainty and distress, searching for any information about her fate.

After several days, Shiva Javid’s lifeless body was found. Her face was completely covered with bandages, and the date of her killing by the military–terrorist forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran was officially recorded as January 9, 2026.

Last Thursday, Bloomberg, citing Mai Sato, the UN Special Rapporteur on Iran, reported that the number of people killed during the widespread January protests may have exceeded 20,000.

In this context, Amnesty International had previously emphasized that the killing of protesters was carried out on an “unprecedented” scale, involving the extensive use of live ammunition and metal pellets, and that many victims died either on the streets or as a result of being denied access to medical care.

Meanwhile, Time magazine reported on Sunday, January 25, 2026, citing two senior officials at Iran’s Ministry of Health, that during January 8 and 9, 2026, when the government’s bloody crackdown reached its peak, “possibly up to 30,000 people” were killed on the streets of cities across Iran.

Time did not name the two officials, and due to severe censorship in the country and an internet shutdown now entering its third week, Radio Farda has not been able to independently verify the report.
