Iran banns prominent soccer player over political allegation

Iran banned Ali Daei former iconic soccer player and current coach on Monday, May 20 from Premier League as he revealed the identity of the assassin of Abdul Rahman Ghassemlou, a Kurdish leader back in 80th.

Ali Daei was fired from SAYPA Football Club in early May after expressing his disagreement with the management committee.

Several days later, Daei revealed in a video obtained by Avatoday that Mustafa Modaber, the CEO of Saypa is Sardar Ghafur Darejazi, the head of intelligence of the Islamic Republic of Iranian Broadcasting who has changed his identity.

Daei has also explained that Sardar Ghafur Darejazi has been a forgery identity for years and that whose real identity is Amir Mansur Bozorgian.    

Amir Mansur Bozorgian was part of the Iranian team who assassinated the Kurdish leader Abdul Rahman Ghassemlou on July 13, 1989 in Vienna.

Avatoday reported on late Sunday that Daei is banned from Iran’s Premier League due to his revelation.
