According to reports received by Avatoday, Soran Feyzi-Zadeh, a detained Kurdish citizen, has died under torture at the hands of Iranian security institutions.
Soran Feyzi-Zadeh, a Kurdish citizen from Saqqez and a resident of Bijar, who was arrested during the nationwide Kurdistan protests, lost his life as a result of severe torture in government detention facilities.
Based on the information obtained, after his arrest by the repressive institutions of the Islamic Republic, he was subjected to intense pressure and extreme violence and ultimately died as a result of the torture inflicted on him.
The death of Soran Feyzi-Zadeh represents yet another example of the systematic repression of protesters and the widespread use of torture as a tool of intimidation and silencing dissent in Iran.
Previously, Avatoday reported that Delaram Kazemi, a Kurdish citizen from Gilan-e Gharb in Kermanshah Province, who was arrested for the second time by Iranian security forces on the evening of 7 January 2026 during popular protests in the city and transferred to an undisclosed location, was killed as a result of multiple and severe acts of torture.
These incidents once again underscore serious concerns over the condition of detainees, grave human rights violations, and the impunity enjoyed by perpetrators of torture and killings inside detention centers of the Islamic Republic.
