The bodies of 11 Iranian hikers have been found so far in Iran’s Alborz mountain by rescue teams, local media reported on Sunday.
Several others are still missing.
Heavy snow and high winds hit Iran in the past few days, closing the roads in many parts of the country.
The climbers went missing on Friday and local news channels claimed the death toll could be higher.
Search and rescue teams halted their operation for the night but resumed their efforts early morning today.
