commander of Iran's Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani left and Abu Mahdi Al Muhandis right
Iran’s top general and commander of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps's Quds forces Qassen Suleimani and Hezbollah chief Abu Mahdi Al Muhandis were killed in US strikes in Iraq on President Donald Trump’s order.
US strikes have reportedly targeted Baghdad International Airport on Thursday, killing Suleimani. In a separate US attack, Muhandis was also killed.
The two figures were Iran’s most important agents in the region. Suleimani was leading Iranian forces in Iraq and Syria. Their deaths are turning point in the standoff between US and Iran.
