An Iranian official announced on Sunday that his country’s second circuit of its Arak reactor will be completed within two weeks.

Ali Asghar Zarean, an assistant to the chief of Iran’s Atomic Energy Agency has also said that Iran produce 20 tons of heavy water annually, but that it has the capacity to produce 25 tons and exports to other countries.

Zarean made these remarks during his visit to the country’s nuclear facilities in the city of Kerman, southeast of Iran.

Earlier last week, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has announced that Tehran will continue to scale back from Nuclear commitments signed in 2015.

Rouhani, speaking on state television, said this move comes as European countries have failed to fulfill their own commitments under the deal.
