Labor activist Esmaeil Bakhshi, who is now spending his prison terms for second time, was fired from Haft Tappeh Sugarcane Industries and the company denied paying his salary.

The social media channel of Independent Workers of Haft Tappeh wrote on Tuesday that "Haft Tappeh fired Esmaeil Bakhshi and stopped to pay his salary to increase pressures on him and his family."

According to the report, the security officials of Khuzestan Province has ordered Bakhshi’s termination of his work.  

Esmaeil Bakhshi is illegally detained since March 21, 2019 without any new investigation.

Esmaeil Bakhshi was first arrested back in November 2018, during the protests of the workers of Haft Tappeh Sugarcane Industries.

After his release, Bakhshi claimed that he has been tortured in prison and that the interrogators in prison has forced him to confess. He has been detained for second time on January after his claims.
