The trade between Iran and EU countries has dropped from 3 billion and 790 million Euros to 260 million in the first four months of 2019, the European Commission reported.

According to the report, EU’s export to Iran has also decreased from 2.6 billion Euro to 1 billion and 120 million.

Most of the European companies left Iran after US President Donald Trump announced the withdrawal of US from 2015-nuclear deal between Iran and world powers and imposed new sanctions against the country in May 2018.

US government imposed new rounds of sanctions on Iran’s petrochemical sector in early June.
