Iran’s Foreign Ministry announced that the US call for talk “without precondition” is merely “wordplay,” local media reported.

“Washington’s latest claim of readiness for negotiate with Iran without having any precondition is only wordplay and would not be taken as a benchmark for action,” the ministry’s spokesperson, Abbas Mousavi was quoted as saying.

The US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, has recently expressed his country’s readiness to talk with Iranian regime “with no preconditions.”

Pompeo’s remark came during his visit to Swiss, which is representing Washington’s interests in Tehran.

Earlier, Iranian Supreme Leader Seyed Ali Khamenei said any negotiation with Americans would be akin to “poison.”
