Two activists and an Iranian journalist, who have been detained during the International Labour Day protests, reportedly sent to Evin prison for further investigation. 

A report by VOA Persian indicated that two female activists, Neda Naji and Atefeh Rangriz and local journalist Marzieh Amiri are holding in Evin prison without any order from Court.   

The investigation period is reportedly extended for 10 more days for the two activists who participated in the gatherings of Global Labour Day protests in Tehran. 

Iranian regime arrested numbers of labor activists as workers gathered in front of Iranian parliament on May 1. 

The peaceful protesters were shouting slogans against corruption and poverty while advocating for a unity between workers and students.

Workers’ unions have also announced that a number of their members were detained by security forced on Wednesday.
