Iranian Legal Medicine Organization announced on Wednesday that the recent massive floods caused 26 deaths in the past three days, BBC Persian reported.

According to the report, a number of 19 human casualties are from Fars Province and the city of Shiraz.

Massive floods hit Northern as well as southern parts of Iran for days, leading to a serious national crisis. Data shows that about 30 provinces throughout the country stuck in floods.

The damages of the floods have not yet been assessed by the authorities, but the destructions are expecting to be tremendous.

According to unofficial reports from Shiraz more than 100 people died in the flood. Avatoday is unable to independently confirm the number.
