Student Protests Enter Fourth Day with Slogans “Death to Khamenei and Pahlavi”

Reports from Iran indicate that protest gatherings resumed at several universities in Tehran for a fourth consecutive day.

A Telegram channel called United Students of Iran reported the start of a sit-in at Alzahra University on Tuesday, February 24, adding that “security forces and Basij members are present to prevent the sit-in.”

Reports also indicate that students from Sharif University of Technology and K. N. Toosi University of Technology gathered at the Vanak campus. At Sharif University, students chanted “Death to the oppressor, whether Shah or Supreme Leader,” while at K. N. Toosi University, Basij forces reportedly fired gas and pepper spray, turning the gathering “violent.”

Among the slogans heard at this university were “Death to the Islamic Republic” and “Death to the monarchy.”

Reports also describe a sit-in at the Faculty of Social Sciences of University of Tehran, where students chanted “No to monarchy, no to leadership, no to Rajavi’s reactionary rule” and “Woman, Life, Freedom.”

Student channels say that students at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran have also begun demonstrations against the Islamic Republic.

Additional gatherings reportedly took place at the “Science and Culture” Faculty and the “Architecture and Art” Faculty of Pars University in Tehran, where chants such as “Students may die, but they will not accept humiliation” could be heard in circulating videos.

Iran University of Science and Technology also witnessed protests, with students chanting slogans including “Student, shout out your rights.”

Reports further indicate demonstrations at the Applied Arts Faculty of University of Art, with slogans such as “Death to the dictator,” “Political prisoners must be freed,” and “For every person killed, a thousand will rise.”

At Soore University in Tehran, students reportedly gathered chanting slogans including: “We don’t want spectators — join us,” “By the blood of our fallen, we will stand to the end,” “Basij and IRGC, you are ISIS,” “Freedom, freedom, freedom,” and “Don’t be afraid — we are all together.”

Over the previous three days, major universities in Tehran, as well as Isfahan University of Technology and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, had also been the scene of large student protests featuring chants directed against the Supreme Leader.
