Tensions raised up between Tehran and Jerusalem as Israeli military confirmed in an unusual statement on Monday it attacked Iranian Revolutionary Guards in Syria, AP reported.

For its part, the head of Iran’s air force said his country is impatient to fight back the Jewish country and destroy it.

“The young people in the air force are fully ready and impatient to confront the Zionist regime and eliminate it from the Earth,” Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh was quoted as saying in Iranian state media.

Israel has conducted hundreds of airstrikes against Iranian forces in Syria, insisting that the forces must go back to their own country as their existence close to the Israeli borders considered a real threat.

This is the first time that Israeli military officially confirm their attacks on Iranian forces in a statement.

“We have started striking Iranian Quds targets in Syrian territory,” read the statement. “We warn the Syrian Armed Forces against attempting to harm Israeli forces or territory.”

In the last few months, Iran has been launching missiles towards neighboring countries such as Iraq and Syria and toward outer space, making US, Israel and neighboring countries concerned.
