Iran will take “at least” until Sept. 2 to respond to the Biden administration’s comments on an EU-drafted text aimed at reviving the 2015 nuclear deal, state-run Nour News said in a tweet on Sunday.

Tehran continues to “carefully review the US’ response at an expert level,” according to Nour, which is closely aligned to Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.

The contents of the proposal have not been made public.

Britain, China, France, Germany, Iran and Russia, as well as the United States indirectly, resumed talks on the nuclear accord earlier this month.

Israel said if a deal between Iran and world powers is reached, the country will not be bound by it, Prime Minister Yair Lapid told French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday, according to a statement from the Israeli leader's office.

"The prime minister made clear to the president that Israel opposes a return to the deal and would not be obligated by such an agreement. Israel will continue to do everything to prevent Iran from attaining a nuclear capability," Lapid's office said.
