The plane crashed on Sabalan volcanic-mountain
A military plane on Wednesday crashed in Iran’s northwestern province of Ardabil.
According to videos received by Avatoday, the plane crashed on Sabalan volcanic-mountain.
A member of Iran’s Army Air Force who talked to Avatoday on condition of anonymity said that the plane was a Russian Mig29-A.
“The plane which was bought in 1990 from Russia was recently overhauled and flew from Tabriz air base for Functional Check Flight (FCF),” the source said.
He added that that the pilot reportedly died in the incident.
