Iranian forces had reportedly crossed into Kurdistan region of Iraq and arrested 11 shepherds and took control over 400 sheep, but they have released them all after Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) called for their freedom.

According to some reports received by Ava Today, Iran's IRGC forces unlawfully trespassed 4 kilometers deep into Kurdistan Region from Haji Omran heights early on Sunday, and arrested 11 Kurdish civilians, who were herding their sheep in the region.

The forces had also taken control of 400 sheep.

Last week Iranian forces were shelling border regions of Kurdistan Region, following the death of 3 Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps personnel by unknown armed men in the border areas.

The attacks by Iranians killed an eighteen-year-old local girl and injured her two younger brothers. The bombardments have forced a lot of locals to displace.
