At least six new priests have been detained by Iranian forces in the city of Rasht since last month, Persian section of Voice of America reported.

“Hussein Kadivar, Khalil Pourdehqan, Abdulreza Ali Haqnezhad, Mohamad Vafadar, Mohamad Eslamdoust, and Kamal Namanian are among the detainees,” the report read.

There is no further information on the detainees or what they have been accused of.

Iranian Shiite regime is widely criticized in the World for its systematic discrimination and use of force against religious minorities including Christians, Jews, Bahaies, Yarsanies and Sunnies.
