Owners of cattle ranches took to the streets in Iran on Sunday to protest the rising prices of animal feed.

They held protest rallies in the cities of Yazd, Shiraz, Mashhad, Hamedan, Isfahan, among others. The demonstrators chanted slogans against high production costs, showing their despair over the situation, and calling for the resignation of "incompetent officials."

Some videos circulating online show them pouring milk on the roads in the city of Shiraz in protest of government policies.

The owners of cattle ranches said they cannot afford the soaring cost of animal feed.

Nevertheless, they condemned the rising price of meat and dairy products by the government, saying it would only limit people’s ability to purchase their products and would not solve their problems.
