Two prominent Iranian worker activists, who have been held in prison for months, are not allowed to see their lawyers even for “non-security accusations,” the lawyer said on Monday.

Farzaneh Zilabi, lawyer of Esmaeil Bakhshi and Ali Najati, announced that she has no access to her clients even in cases where charges are not even security related.

Bakhshi was arrested on November 20, 2018, during a demonstration by workers over unpaid wages and privatization of Haft Tapeh Sugarcane Factor.

Bakhshi’s family has been concerned in the past few months over their son’s critical health situation in jail as a result of tortures.
