Two members of the paramilitary Revolutionary Guard’s aerospace division died as “martyrs” in Iran in separate incidents over the weekend, Iranian media reported on Monday.
The term used by Iranian authorities is typically a designation given to those on important assignments.
Ali Kamani, a member of the Guards aerospace division was "martyred" in the city of Khomein in Iran's central Markazi province, Fars said, quoting a Guards statement.
In a separate incident, Mohammad Abdoos, 33, an aerospace staff member, died in the northern Semnan province on Sunday while on a "mission", Fars added.
The deaths of the two men come as tensions remain high over Iran’s nuclear deal with world powers.
Iran’s uranium enrichment program is now the closest it has ever been to weapons-grade levels.
While authorities offered no suggestion of foul play in the men’s deaths, Israel has been accused of killing other high-ranking Guard members amid the growing crisis.
